Review: Electric Idol by Katee Robert

I think it's safe to say I'm obsessed with Greek myth retellings at this point. I knew I would love this one based on the cover alone, and I actually ended up naming my Espeon in my shield play through after Psyche. That seems minor, but having just finished this, it's perfect. Because I am obsessed, to the surprise of absolutely no one.

Katee always goes above and beyond, whether it be having all of the gods queer in some way, but she went the extra mile with plus size rep. As a plus size person I'm no stranger to fatphobia. Seeing a main character with a similar experience to me outside of just being bisexual really tugged at my heart. I'm so happy with this book, as I have been with the other one of hers that I read.

Also it's still fuck Aphrodite in this house btw. Most retellings have kept true with her being a bitch (not that I've read many, this is only my third) and I'm glad this one stuck with that theme. Let's just say she gets what she deserves lol.
